Issues in the community that have an immediate effect on people's safety and well-being should be the primary focus of local law enforcement. To keep inhabitants secure, prevent crime, and uphold law and order, they are essential. It may be counterproductive to give immigration enforcement priority over more important issues to focus resources and attention on less urgent issues. Regardless of ethnicity or immigration status, law enforcement must do its tasks with efficiency if they are to properly serve and protect all people in the community.

I think there’s a balance. The federal government failing to secure the border is having big effects on states, so it reasonable for them to take action themselves. But just like any other issue, it’s level of priority and funding should be decided by the people in the state.

Yes, because it’s put American citizens in danger on a daily basis.

The state, tribal and local police are not required to enforce federal immigration laws. The federal government and its agencies are the authorities responsible for enforcement of immigration law.

No. They should focus on gun violence, specifically in schools.

I think immigration shouldn’t be allowed without lots of research on the people they bring in lots of illegal weapons and drugs that harms the American people they don’t know our culture and the things we do and half don’t know our language.
@9LSPL4Y1mo1MO
There could be some immigrants that are dangerous and need to be checked

I do not think that immigration enforcement should necessarily be prioritized over community issues, but it is a big deal in some places and may cause controversy. Community issues are something that need to be addressed, since they are the ones living there, but immigration continues to be an issue, and we must continue to work out solutions to it without taking away any necessary attention from community.
